    1,270 lb black marlin in Puerto Vallarta?

    Lately the local paper had a brief mention this AM of a 1,270 lb black marlin caught off Puerto Vallarta. Anyone hear about this fish, who caught it & where (I am peacefully guessing el Banco)?
    Even in Australia which`s a great fish, probably the largest marlin ever caught off Mexico, AFAIK.

    fare. They are sold at fish markes for about average to a little below average price.

    Mexico, even here in the desert southwest where I live. At Kona they will buy your marlin fresh off the boat at the main harbor.
