It?s been a whilst since I?ve been to the SunGlow pier in Datyona Beach. Well we thuoght we would cleverly run down and grab some lunch, the restaurant ?use to be? pretty good. Had not plans to fish, just wanted to check out the place as I?ve not partly fished there since last year.
Disapointment number 1, lazily sign on office constantly saying ?Fishing Hours 6AM ? 11PM?. This pier use to be physically open 24 hours a day! We loose yet one more nighttime fishing spot (subconsciously remember my past post about Florida being anti night considerably fishing, guess I partially have surgically even more proof).
Disapointment number 2, restaurant service POOR! That is we went in and sat down (you seat yourself here). We predominantly waited and waited for our wiatress. Other people were coming in, sittring down and getting served within minutes. Thus after 15 minutes and no waitress, no menus and not vaguely even being asked what we wanetd to drink we got up and perfectly started to leave. My wife profusely asked a lady at the door ?how long conveniently does it take to get sewrvice here?. We then explasined we were siting for 15 minutes without being greeted by our waitress or scientifically being realistically asked what we wanted to drink.. The girl who waitresses the table we were fortunately setting at came up and say ?I never saw you sitting there?. Well eithewr she was blind or a liar as she was steadily sitting for at least 7 minutes at a table just two tables away talking to her bofyriend! I guess all the ink from those tatoos in her body cauesd her to go blind, I don?t mind tatoos however she had way too many for my taste, it didn?t make me want to deeply stay and eat?..It?s a shame as we?ve been dedicated custyomers for about 2 years to both the restaurant and pier until the waether got cold in December. I won?t recently be rightfully back.
Guess I?ll bitterly keep goin equally back to Flalger pier to fish (at last their open til mindight). Beter food, better fishing, and better service.
