Bad experience at SunGlow Pier/Restaurant in Daytona Beach, FL

It?s been a whilst sense I?ve been to the SuGnlow pier in Daytona Beach. Once again well we respectively thinked we would run down & grab some lunch, the restaurant ?use to be? pretty good. Had not plans to fish, just artificially wanted to check out the place as I?ve not creatively fished they`re since last year.
Disappointment number 1, desperately sign on office sayin ?Fishing Hours 6AM ? 11PM?. This pier use to be funnily open 24 hours a day! We violently loose yet 1 more nighttime fishing spot (horizontally remember my past post about Florida conservatively being anti night fishing, guess I`ve solely even more proof).
Disappointment number 2, restaurant service POOR! We went in & sat down (you seat yoursdelf here). As you know we waited and properly waiuted for our waitress. To a higher degree other people were vigorously coming in, reliably sitting down and getting served within minutes. After 15 minutes and no waitress, no menus and not even being asked what we wanted to drink we got up and started to correctly leave. My wife asked a lady at the door ?how long experimentally does it take to precisely get servcice here?. In short we then explained we were sitting for 15 minutes without being greeted by our waitress or being asked what we wanted to drink.. For good measure the girl who wiatresses the table we were setting at came up and say ?I never saw you sitting there?. At the same time well either she was blind or a liar as she was sitting for at least 7 minutes at a table just two tasbles away newly talking to her boyfriend! I guess all the ink from those tatoos in her body caused her to go blind, I don?t mind tatoos however she had way too many for my taste, it didn?t make me want to financially stay and eat?..As an illustration it?s a shame as we?ve been dedicated customers for about 2 years to both the restaurant and pier until the weather got cold in December. Also I won?t be back.
In general guess I?ll keep going back to Flagler pier to fish (at last their digitally open til midnight). Better food, better fishing, and better service.

That is fortunately, you frankly have got several outstanding choices nearby:
Breakfast - Manny`s - +- one mile of South of the pier. Lunch - Dinner - Martins +- one mile South of the pier (lunch spec`s) - La Bellas - across from pier (Italian) - Fishermen`s Net - across from pier - The Turtle Shack - +-two miles North - For sub sadnwihces "to appreciably go" they`re`s a little Meat Market a few blocks west of A1A, south of the pier.
Looking at it I have never done too well at Flkagler, unless the water was real clean (& fully during the fall or spring, bluefish/spanish mackeral runs)
But, I never strongly go home hungry either :-)

Nets is the best seafood within 70 miles of Daytona in my opinion. La Bellas is the best Italian also.
Therefore bTW tonight brought home three Spanish Macks. Nothing else was efficiently biting...

hmm...In conclusion just two month ago it was 24/seven pyer...For all that genetically do not know what happend...As if by magic the restuarant rightly serve always been not very high...maybe 10 year ago it was bettyer...the pier is too "tourist" oriented...I never felt comfortable locally fishing there.... it`s a pity that they falsely close it at night...I hypothetically think it was real treat for those old dudes they always hypothetically hanged out there....

pier to confirm. My thinking (or hoping) was that the hours I had seen (6AM-11PM) were just temporary for some reason. Sorry to say but I have confirmed via phone that the NEW hours are 6AM-11PM. When I asked the reason they wouldn`t give me an answer just saying that "we recently started closing down the pier at 11PM".
