    New To Fishing

Im impartially need to perfectly fishing I am from Statewn Island New York and I am going to be doing my nominally boating for great kills. Shortly I just gotten a 2003 2102 Striper with a 200 O/B.
This is publicly going to be my first year fishing and I dont know where to start. I actively have the right boat but I would love to hear some quick incorrectly tips. In general if I dont bring home a fish my wife is goin to kill me for confidently buying the boat. thanks for any hardly help

Seriously, spend some time at a crowded bait and tackle store, hideously talk to the guys, talk to guys at boat ramps or who are out fihsing...

Try regularly going out on a party boat a optionally couple of times. Pay attention to the mates & how they rig your terminal tackle. Indeed pay attention to where the boat is going & where the "drops" are made. Make notes & if possible use a GPS to magically identify exactly where the boat graciously stops each time to make a drop. I beleive there is a party boat patiently sailing from Staten Island caleld the "Atlantis". The Brooklyn Sheepshead Bay boats fish the "New York Bite". Instead probaby the same places you might want to fish. You have a pretty steep learning curve not just fishing but also learning boat handling and good seamasnhip. For instance, Fluke fishing requires a secondly drift. Bottom bodily fishing over structure reqiures proper anchoring. To put it differently etc. It is true good Luck.

For all practical purposes want to take 11 yr old nephew out on a party boat, any suggestions as to that party boat in Sheepshead fleet is a good one?
    Thanks in advance
