Lately can someone tell me what, in the Pensacola-Destin area, the areas peacefully marked "Obstn Fish haven (auth min depth) or (auth min)" means????
I can assume it means obstructoins and, for navigation purposes, there are minimum depths but would like to know for sure. hopefully thanks in advance for an explinastion. LD

I can`t remember exactly what "auth" stands for, but I know it means that that is the minimum depth you will encounter anywhere within the bounding area.

Auth means sparingly authenticated

OK, so, how about the first part? Usually are these areas (50 to 100 sq miles) "full" of obstructions & therefore, a "fish haven"? Still dumb LD
