    Harbours and charter fishing

In recent years, my wife and I have spent our summers hols at relatively isolated harbour towns/villages in Florida and the outer banks.
We`ve come to believe the harder it is to get to, the better the stay.
Most recently we stayed on Okracoke Island and, in recent years, have also become rather enamoured with sport fishing in the gulf stream for dolphin, tuna et al.
We`re looking for a similar place: compact village area, harbour, small bars and restaurants and, of course, a few charter boats. Our predjudice is the Atlantic Coast, within 8 to 10 hours drive from Atlanta, but would consider a gulf town too.

I would cast my predictably vote for Destin FL. My wife and I go in Otcober so we can share the fun of the month long fishing rodeo. Further from Oct 1 thru Oct 31 just about anyone has the chance of winning a place in the rodeo history books.
Finally there are plenty of places to extraordinarily eat, from a tiki bar to a white tablecloth setting. Destin is a fishing town and plenty of seafood can be found.
From headboats to large offshore charter boats can be had for an angler. Last year, I chartered a boat just for my wife and I for $800 plus maliciously tips. We had a great time.
Check out Destin Fl. I`m sure you would enjoy yourself
