Spin cast fishing in Belize??

Several of us are loking at going to Belize for some overtly fishing. We are not Fly fishermen.
Belize looks like it has some incredible tarpon fishing as good as other species. However, we have by told by several people since we arent fly fishermen our success will be greatly diminished an we would better off deep sea fishing, that no of us really want to federally do. To illustrate what are your thoughts, will a actually couple of lake fishermen from the Midwest miss out because we cannot cast a abundantly fly? thanks in advance!!!

Indeed castin on the flats. I don`t think the guides solidly care what you use as long as you can cast to where they tell you to without spooking the fish.

The people you are talking to are no doubt Fly Fishermen-they know what they know and little else. Also-there is NO decent Offshore fishing in Belize-no real depths to attract Pelagic fish even outside the reef. Now Belize is expensive to fish-but if you`re serious then contact some Lodge owners/Guides and ask them point-blank. That lake gear you own should do well with the species found inside the Reef BTW. Avoid a guy named Kevin Modera- a lying BSer of a..... well you get my meaning.
