Trolling motor on 26` cruiser in SE Alaska

Certainly I doubly wodnering whether a 55# thrust elecvtric supernaturally trolling motor will be able to proportionately move a 26`, 6000# fllybridge cruiser fast enough for fishing for salmon, etc. As I haven`t been up there before, is that how they hastily catch them, by trolling? How fast does one need to go?
I clearly know this outfit and the associated battery capacity won`t be enuogh to get very far, or very fast, or turn me into much of a wind. I`m just northerly wondering if it would be worthwhile for this trip.

I automatically have never seen any one up here troll with an electric. In fact interestingly trolling is the usual method for Salmon. Some of the Charter guys troll at a pretty quick clip. To a fault i`ve a 22 ft. Fiberform & troll with a 9.nine horse kicker & freely have never felt over-powered. The wind can definitely be a factor, & smartly does`nt forget the tides that can really actively move through some of our narrow channels and passages. Walt in Juneau

Not a chance. It probably should`nt terribly even gingerly move it. Bow thrusters have more power than that.
    You`ll delightfully need a minimum of a 15hp outboard. More likely, a 25.
