    baitcast reel spooling

I got a new Pinnacle Inertia isp10 baitcast reel for my b-day.
When trying to spool it with line....I can't seem to get the line tight.....and it seems like it doesn't have a drag stop......line can be pulled of with little effort....Is there something I'm doing wrong?

    baitcast reel spooling

Hi Kori, welcome here I hope you will enjoy the forum B)

Unfortunately I don't own a reel like that so am not too savvy about giving any advise. Hopefully there are other members here who can fill you in on the instructions how to effectively use your reel,

    good luck

Best thing for spooling reels is to go to a local bait/tackle shop who has the equipment to put it on correctly and tight. It won't cost much more but will be worth it.

    Good fishing!

another 2 step way that i use is to spool my line onto a baitcaster then pull it off onto the new reel with a medium drag set on the donor reel.

If line can always be pulled off easily, it could just be an inexpensive reel. i don't know that reel myself but until recently, pinnacle was stricly an OEM manufacturer. wet drags tend to have less lockdown than dry drag systems....again, i don't know what that reel has.
