I'm passing on our website www.northpacifictours.com for those who are coming to Costa Rica to do some sport fishing. Feel free to drop us an email if you have any questions regarding the fishing here in Costa Rica or on any other topic regarding the area, and we'd be happy to answer them. The Pacific waters of the Papagayo Gulf is full of Marlin, Sail fish, Rooster, Yellow Fin, Dorado, Wahoo, Jacks, Mackeral, Grouper and Red Snapper -- all in which we specialize in catching. We operate one boat, the Don Manuel, which is a 26' panga equipped with a 140 h.p. 4 stroke engine, plenty of shade and cushioned seats. This is the standard boat of the locals which is also called a listo. Our captain Daniel, is a local fisherman with over 40+ years of experience fishing in the area. We offer deep sea, coastal, bottom fishing, fly fishing and you can do two of the three on a full day. We will also provide snorkeling gear if you and your family would like to snorkel the last hour or two of your fishing trip.

Post edited by: NPT144, at: 2007/09/10 16:30
NPT144, hi and welcome to the forum That sounds soooo great. It's a pity you're just "passing on your website" - I'd be terribly interested in hearing stories about Costa Rica fishing here as well
Once we are in the high season and the tourists return, I will be happy to relay the fish stories and post photos.
Right now it is the low season and the fishing yesterday wasn't too good. We did have a couple slightly disappointed clients but they know its "Fishing" and not "Catching". They did get one Crevalle Jack that was 3 ft, not sure how many pounds and another fish on the line who took off with one of our lures......B)
High season in Costa Rica starts in December and last until May which is also the dry season here. May - November is the rainy season with the rains starting in the later part of the afternoon and as you get closer to the month of October, it can rain more frequently throughout the day. I prefer the rainy season as it is much cooler here and everything is lush and green - muy bonito!
Hello all,
Thanks for sharing this site name.
I love to see fishing video and pics [edited: no spamming please]

Post edited by: AndersonS, at: 2007/09/28 18:00
We've been getting a quite a few trips this past week as it is Thanksgiving week. Lots of Wahoo have been caught and they are big and everyone is happy!
