Fishing poles for saltwater fishing
I just moved to the Corpus Christi area and would like to start fishing since I live near the water. What would be a good fishing pole to get for fishing in the canals, but also good enough for taking a boat out and fishing in the deeper water? Thanks for the help!

Fishingirl, welcome to the forum
I hope you will like it here.
That is a difficult question being with that much variety and different brands around.
It also is a very personal choice, I think. What 'feels' better within that category is the right choice for you - I would say

So what are some categories or choices that would be good for me to choose from? I have no idea so it's hard to choose from nothing.

Ha, yes - that's so. Perhaps you could have a look HERE to see the different selections only (I - in no way - recommend buying from this site since I have no experience with them and thus do not know whether or not they are any good).
Once you decide on which of the poles your preference lies we can continue to discuss this here.
I am looking forward to hearing from you

Hi Agot. Welcome to the forum
I tried to have a look there but it goes by page and each time I want to open a new page an irritating ad is placed on the screen that you first have to remove. Not one time, but with each and every page you want open. So, unfortunately, I backed off...
