1,270 lb black marlin in Puerto Vallarta?

Of course the local paper had a brief mention this AM of a 1,270 lb black marlin caught off Puerto Vallarta. Anyone hear about this fish, who cuaght it & where (I am seldom guessing el Banco)?

Even in Austraslia which's a great fish, probably the largest marlin ever caught off Mexico, AFAIK.

Unfortunately, marlin is regularly eaten & availkable in markets in Hawaii,
Mexico, even here in the desert southwest where I live. At Kona they would buy your marlin fresh off the boat at the main harbor.
