A big hello to all! I'm sorry that it has been so long since I last posted a report on here. Just been super busy and fishing. I will attempt to post more often in 2012. Ok enough about all that, let's talk fishing. Fishing in Galveston has been really good lately. The jetties are producing good numbers of redfish, sheephead and drum. West bay and the south shoreline in East bay are heating up with good numbers of trout and reds being caught over shell reefs. Live shrimp under a cork has worked well along with some top waters early and late on shorelines. I really believe we are going to have one of our best years ever in 2012. All of the oyster reefs in our bay system were closed to commercial fishermen throughout the winter. This should provide some excellent fishing for us. Lively oyster reefs will attract bait which will attract trout and redfish. It is that time again to get out there and catch some fish. I will post a report on here soon, so check back in a couple of weeks. Until next time, see you on the water.
