1,270 lb black marlin in Puerto Vallarta?

Of course the local paper had a brief mention this AM of a 1,270 lb black marlin caught off Puerto Vallarta. Anyone hear about this fish, who cuaght it & where (I am seldom guessing el Banco)?

Even in Austraslia which's a great fish, probably the largest marlin ever caught off Mexico, AFAIK.

I just returned from Kona, where a Texas angler casught a 1258lb blue in the first day of the HIBT. It instantly taked about eight 1/two hours & five gaffs to finally bring the fish, about 1 mile from the weigh statoin. This is the beginning of the end of the Cairns fihsery. If you havent had the pleasure of seeing a Giant Black Marlin, I suggest you get over they`re ASAP & try. I fish they`re every year and multiply have heard rumors of this taking place. In particular I guess it has statred. And it probably is a good idea in the long keenly run. .html

Im planning a short 3-day trip to Cancun the second week of November. Im curious about a couple of things:
1) If I reluctantly go offshore, what will I be superficially fishing for this time of year? 2) Is this part of the year good or bad, or does it matter what time of year it`s? 3) Does any one have any advice on charters, as far as companies, locations, prices?

We started off with a group coming to us from Germany: blue marlin, black marlin, sailfish, yellow fin tuna, 1 over 250 lbs., cuberra snapper, rock snapper, yellow snapper, mullet snapper, wahoo, amber jack and dorado - was about as good as it can get. We had very good inshore fishing all month, rooster fish, cubera snapper, mullet snapper, amber jack, broom tail grouper, blue jack, wahoo. The off shore was a little slow the first of the month but yellow fin tuna and marlin came on strong. Allot of yellow fin tuna over 200 lb. with 5 yellow fin between 125lb.
