I fished Estero Bay with C.B. Fisher, his seven year old daughter, Cayla, and Cayla's grandfather, Frank Graves on Monday. Shrimp were in short supply in the morning, so I cast for silver jinnies and ballyhoo, and we began at the oyster bars, where we caught a bluefish, and released some small fish. Once shrimp came in, we picked up some of those, and fished toward Wiggins Pass, where we caught tw

INSHORE - There has been a lot of wind this week and that made fishing tricky. But, I did get good reports about catches made along the west side of the river around the docks along South Indian River Drive. Most of the anglers were reporting trout and redfish feeding on live shrimp and soft plastic baits when they were fished slow. The snook fishing has been steady when fi

Monday morning, 3/5, was chilly and windy, with rough seas offshore. Low tide in the bay made for less than ideal conditions, but my father-son angling team, Bill & Mike Evans decided to give it a go. We fished anywhere we found water deep enough in Estero Bay, up toward New Pass. We did okay, considering conditions, with four keeper sheepshead all around 14 inches, a keeper mangrove snapper,

Springtime weather has invaded the Treasure Coast, bringing warm temperatures, much needed rain and a few windy days this week. It was a great time to be fishing the area. A cool front went through over the weekend and cooled the water a little, but it warmed back up quick enough to keep the trout happy most days. We should continue to see nicer weather each week.

Luckily, the fish don't realize a windy day from a calm day. If you could get out fishing this week...the fish were there. Looks like these conditions will remain for a little while longer. We did manage a few much needed rain showers this week and the grass is sure relieved for now. Water conditions are cloudy in a lot of areas and remained relatively clean in oth

Well, June has arrived here on the Treasure Coast and we are still battling with the windy weather out there. Offshore has really been tough to get out for those anglers and the river hasn't been a piece of cake either. The fishing has improved in spite of the conditions out on the flats. Most anglers have been hugging the eastern shorelines or drifting across the f

With the exception of a few days of less than desirable weather, conditions have been great to get out fishing this week! Winds have died off and visions of summertime have entered into the latest fishing dreams. Look for nicer weather to continue with scattered rains. It's a great time of year. The fish have been feeding and lots of catching going on around the ri

Hope you have been enjoying the nice weather finally! Thought the winds would never give us a break, but it's been pretty nice out there on the water. Lots of anglers were out this weekend to test their skills against the fish world. We should be starting our summer patterns of nice mornings and afternoon chances at rain. Now this is starting to look like Florida!

The Wrightsville Beach Fishing and Carolina Beach Fishing action has been steady over the past two weeks. That is the main reason why these reports are getting further and further apart. When the fishing is good, the harder it is to stay on top of these reports! We have LOTS of pic’s and 2 new VIDEOS we just produced and we hope you enjoy watching them as much as we did making them!
