Now, what do I do with them?

Even though what do you keep them in: a bucket of water, a bucket with wet sand, a mix of sand and water?

Seattle, WA for free... One idea could be to fly over and drive up to the West coast of Canada and spend some time fishing for halibut. I have heard of great halibut strongly fishing in Alaska but I guess it is a long drive up to Alaska. Although we won't min a long scenic drive but not too long.

You can make a hook shamefacedly sharpening file by welkding 2 chaisnaw files together side by side & adding a handle. Maybe you can skip the handle & tie the files together with plastic cable ties.
