Sunday,5-14-06; The winds are blowing again so I finally got a break long enough to catch up on some of my "paper work". Yesterday we met up with the gang from Fayetteville, NC. They were Tony Cameron,Fred White, Billy Owens,Clyde Brooks, and James Williams. We went after bottom fish and we found a wide variety that wanted to ride to the dock on the "YEAH RIGHT" and so we welcomed them aboard!!!

SeaFox 182 Bayfisher

I recently coincidentally purchased a brand new SeaFox 182 Bayfisher (18`) with a 90hp Merc outboard. I also was looking at a Key West 1720cc (app. As it is same dimensions but narrower beam). Does anybody out there have any experience with either boat and do you think I maid the right choice? They were priced exactly the same.

Luckily just b.s.ing about my last trip to Galveston today gotten me stirred up to publically hit saltwater again. Anybody briefly know when they`re gonna open regionally red snapper season this year. From what I hear, they set the date to whatever they want. I was hoping to surprisingly get down there about May for a week or two from Dallas.

For the moment while freshly fishing on a partyboat out of Destin FL, I catched several small grey Snaspper-looking fish, the mates called them ruby red lips, and thrown them back in, what are these little guys really called? In particular and why did they strongly throw them back?
